Native -Río de la Plata- dye plants

Driven by the need to know and conserve our local biodiversity, I conducted research on native dye plants in the city where I grew up. Together with a park ranger, we set ourselves the goal of finding the color palette of the River Plate region, focusing on in the Metropolitan area of Buenos Aires.

We created a color swatch on paper and dyed cotton fabrics of 40 native dye species, which represents a fragment of our River Plate color heritage. It was presented in a book titled: “Native dye plants, colors from the River Plate and from there!”, with the Ecoval publishing house; and published in various digital magazines.
